Sue Bryson - Artist 

After a career at sea, I returned to my initial love of art. Having gained a Diploma in Art and Design, I realised I revelled in the more classical approach to oil painting and art study. Subsequently I have combined self study and practice with traditional atelier skills gained in workshops in Florence and nearer home in the South West. Additionally I am grateful for individual artist mentors and tutors who have encouraged me on this rewarding creative path.

 

In terms of subject matter and medium, I am primarily a portrait artist, enjoying the challenge of capturing the essence of an individual in oils.  However I am also fascinated by interiors and architecture and the concept of adding space and narrative to a painting or drawing.
